Shatter review

This game is classic Breakout. . . with a twist. In addition to absorbing the ball and hitting the ball, by pressing the L1 and R1 buttons you can suck the ball towards you or blow the ball away from you. This mechanic allows for easy manipulation of the ball when the peg is unreachable by conventional means. There are score multipliers and 1ups to get. The multipliers lead to a very good high score opportunity as scores will high astronomic levels.

There are 8 worlds with at least 8 levels in each world. Each has different music as well as different board setup. You may be going vertically on one board then in a circle on the next or horizontal on the level after that. After each world, there is an opportunity to gain bonus points in the bonus round. The last level in each world contains a boss. There are different strategies with how to deal with each boss.

In addition to the standard mode, there is a Boss Rush mode and a Bonus Mode. Boss Rush pits you against each of the game's bosses and sees how quickly you can defeat them all. Bonus mode lets you play the Bonus round and lets you see how high you can score given a set number of lives.

This game is a must if you like the Breakout style of games. It's simple to play and easy to get into. Have fun and enjoy this game
