The Xbox 360 again did well this year. Even though there weren't that many exclusives (Halo 3: ODST is the only one that sticks out to me at the moment on consoles), sales on multiplatform games did well. Last night, I had the chance to try out the New Super Mario Bros Wii game. Well I'll say this. I like the game. Basically, to me at least, it is Super Mario Bros III and Super Mario World rolled into one. Wii Sports Resort is the latest in the line of first party games by Nintendo. (There was that summer sports game but who played that?). Earlier this week, Home got a well-needed patch. This is now Home version 1.10. What this patch did was fix some bugs and improve current features. Pain is a game exclusively for the Playstation Network. This game is very simple: try to inflict as much pain on your character in one shot as possible. Along with Kirby's Dreamland 3 being released on the Virtual Console, there was a game called Sandy Beach being released on Wiiware. What this is is a game in which you can build sand castles. Playstation Home was released a couple weeks ago and the New Xbox experience now too long before Home. Each of the two have their own version of avatars. Of course with the release of the Wii came their version of avatars or Miis. Now that each system has their own avatars, I felt compelled to do a comparison for each. Recently, the Xbox Live Arcade game Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts got patched. The patch was to fix the lettering whenever subtitles are shown on the screen. The problem is that whenever the game is played on a SDTV (standard TV), the lettering would be too tiny for anyone to read. The lettering isn't much of a problem because not everyone has a plasma, LCD or any other kind of high level TV.
