Infamous review

Infamous is a open world game developed by Sucker Punch. You play as Cole McGrath, a guy who receives electrical powers after an explosion in Empire City. His friend is Zeke, former girlfriend is Trish and throughout the game you are in constant communication with a woman named Moya.

You must complete missions to progress through the story. There are also standard side missions to complete (marked in yellow) and either good (marked in green) or evil (marked in red). Whatever side you pick--good or evil--determines what people feel about you (i.e. people wanting you to heal them, cops helping you out) and what upgrades to do powers (i.e. instant live capture when enemies are killed within the blast radius of a grenade.) You earn experience by completing missions, helping or killing people, killing enemies, doing stunts and collecting blast shards.

Throughout the game, there are things to collect in the game. There are blast shards (over 300 of them). Each you collect nets you 3 XP and the more you collect, the better the opportunity you have to add to your power level. There are also dead drops to collect. These provide more insight into the story but aren't mandatory to collect. I would recommend you go after the blast shards if you are going after the upgrade trophies.

The game has 3 zones and you must restore power to the different sections of each zone. You go through sewers to restore power and earn new powers in the process.

Overall this is a good fun game. Since it's cheap, I recommend you pick this up. I'm sure you can find this for less than 20 dollars. Plus this game is long, so it is a great value for your money.
