Ratchet and Future: Tools of Destruction review

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is one of the launch titles for the PS3. It stars our furry lombax Ratchet and his robot sidekick Clank. This time, the due are on vacation when Ratchet gets a distress signal from Captain Qwark saying that he was in trouble. The duo must save him and a new enemy named Percival Tachyon arises. He claims to know Ratchet's origins and won't tell Ratchet. Since Ratchet doesn't know where he came from, he must embark on the journey to find his roots. Meanwhile a race called the Zoni help Clank later in the game with some missions. In the end, he gets captured by the Zoni and Ratchet must try to save him.

If you have played any R&C game on the PS2, the core gameplay is the same: you have weapons, you shoot enemies, you level up. Nothing much has changed here. There are still Clank missions which I still hate. If you love the series, then you will really like this game. One difference is that in this game, you must find holoplans for the Ryno IV instead of just buying it from the store. Raritanium returns to aid in weapon upgrades. Overall I love this game. There are a couple of glitches but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. If you are looking for a great game (as well as a great PS3 exclusive), pick this one up.
