PSP's white version controversy: no big deal

Sony recently caught fire for its billboard promo promoting its new white PSP. People started calling it "racist". Personally, after seeing the billboard, I have no problem with it. There are worse things to worry about. Surely, this is no worse than the Nintendo DS and the controversy it faced when it debuted its slogan "touching is good"? For those people who get easily offended, that's your problem and for those who were offended by the "touching is good" phrase, get your mind out of the gutter. It clearly means that using the touch screen is good in a sense that it brings a whole new direction of play. The white PSP promo controversy is just that: a promo. Now this doesn't mean that Sony is clearly safe. They were a little wrong. They could have picked a better way to promote their product. But to say that this is racist is truly a copout and is a sorry excuse.
