Borderlands levelled up

I've read yesterday (via GiantBomb) that Borderlands will get a level cap increase in a future patch. That is all fine and dandy. My issue is that wouldn't it have made sense to increase the cap with the Underdome Riot DLC? Imagine how high you would get after completing the DLC. Aw well. What's done is done. I am curious to see how long they will stick with this game. We all know what happened with Left 4 Dead and how that turned out.
