Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars review

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars is a game that is downloaded by the PSN. In short, you can think of this game as soccer, (or futball if you prefer), played with remote controlled cars. You have a blue team and a red team. You make a profile and complete various offline challenges. There are a max of 5 stars to get per challenge and each way to get the five stars varies greatly. You unlock cars by completing the aforementioned tasks or by doing online challenges. Online play is the meat of this game as that is where you will spend most of your time. Offline works perfectly, even if you have some trouble completing some challenges. Online is a different story. It is not awful in any means but you will encounter these two scenarios a lot. 1) either no one is there to play and/or every game is full or 2) you will encounter tremendous lag or numerous disconnects in games you play. The disconnects occur only at the menu screen. In addition, I have encountered games where I'm the only one in the arena and that seems weird. Online issues aside however, the game is quite competitive. You have a time limit of 5 minutes to score goals and teams can range from 1vs1 to 4vs4 (although the latter teams never seem to happen). Most matches occur in ranked (where all online trophies are) or unranked matches. Overall this game is ok, but if your internet connection leaves a little to be desired, skip this game or try to find it on sale again.
