Nintendo released the game "Nintendogs" on the Nintendo DS (dual screen) earlier in the year. Within a few weeks it became a top seller within the gaming world. The game takes the player and makes them take care of pet dogs (hence the title name). You do everything from feeding them to walking them and so on. I don't like this game. I haven't played it but I've seen that the virtual dogs take over the human mind and thus are played continuously. They, in a way, replace the real dogs and this concept reminds me of the Yamaguchis or whether those little devices were called where you have two buttons and you control everything with those buttons.
It is highly addictive and can be compared to Halo, Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars. (The only exception is that Nintendogs wasn't highly anticipated like the aforementioned games.) If Nintendogs is so addictive that it replaces the real thing, put the stylus down, close the DS slowly and get away from it. Appreciate the real thing; your pet won't be here forever. With that said, go play with your dog Fluffy. Your pixel-oriented friend will be here unless you destroy the disk out of frustration or have Fluffy slobber all over it to the point it can't be saved.
