Pacman has a voice and he will "pac" a punch
Yes, my Atari friends after 25 years of a yellow ball that, with its mouth open looks like a whole pizza with a slice missing, was mute (if you don't count the estimated 244 pellets he gobbles up in a stage), now has a voice. He is played by Martin T. Sherman and Pacman plays a crucial role in the new game Pacman World 3. He will provide background commentary on the game as well as interact with other characters. What's next? A voiceover for Centipede or Battlezone? Namco is the creator of Pacman and I ask What took so long? Numerous Pacman related games are out and this is the first one with a voiceover? I must admit, it sounds like a good idea but Namco should get the idea that if this doesn't work, it's learned a lesson: Never give retro 80's games voiceovers because it tarnishes it a little bit. Anyone for San Francisco Rush or Crusin USA?
